Pelleossa Armrests Chair by Miniforms
The Pelleossa Armrests chair by Miniforms, designed by Francesco Faccin, reinterprets the tradition of pre-industrial Italian chairs through a slender, essential structure rich in detail. The addition of armrests enhances the chair’s enveloping quality without compromising its lightness, striking a refined balance between artisanal heritage and contemporary design.

Details and Measures
Design
Pelleossa draws inspiration from the iconic Chiavari chairs, reinterpreting their lightness and proportions through a leaner, more conceptual design language. In the Armrests version, the armrests integrate seamlessly into the wooden frame, increasing comfort while preserving the chair’s slender, rigorous identity. Francesco Faccin’s design focuses its expressive power on construction details and precise proportions, resulting in a piece created to transcend fleeting trends.
Materials and Craftsmanship
The seat is available in either leather or river straw—a material that directly evokes the tradition of woven-seat chairs. The river straw is crafted in a checkered weave, chosen to distribute weight evenly and highlight the chair’s artisanal character.
Comfort and Functionality
The armrests provide lateral support, making the Pelleossa Armrests chair exceptionally comfortable, even during extended use. Its proportions remain compact—measuring 50 cm in width and 53 cm in depth—ensuring a light visual presence around a table, while offering a more welcoming seating experience than the Basic version.
Versatility and Adaptability
Pelleossa Armrests is well-suited for residential dining areas, as well as restaurants, hospitality venues, and contract settings, where its nod to tradition can engage in a dialogue with contemporary interiors and natural materials. The combination of a wooden frame, a seat in either leather or river straw, and slender proportions allows it to fit into both minimalist settings and more sophisticated arrangements.
