Details and Measures
Design
Amiona is rooted in a deliberately bold aesthetic. Its lines gain volume, becoming softer and more sculptural, resulting in a piece with a strong presence yet restrained proportions. In the Amiona Armrests version, the armrests are an integral part of the structure; rather than appearing as add-ons, they flow naturally from the backrest and seat, creating a seamless, enveloping form. For those who prefer a lighter silhouette, Miniforms also offers a version without armrests, which retains the same organic design language while reducing the overall footprint.
Comfort and Functionality
A defining feature of Amiona is its balance between a compact size and the comfort of an armchair. With the seat positioned 42.8 cm from the floor, it encourages a more relaxed posture than a traditional dining chair, while the enveloping backrest supports the body with a soft, continuous surface. The version with armrests enhances the sense of being cradled, while the armrest-free option offers greater freedom of movement and a more space-efficient profile.
Upholstery and Customization
Amiona is fully upholstered and can be customized using Miniforms’ extensive collection of fabrics and wools. The range includes everything from compact, tight-weave textures and tactile, material-rich surfaces to more expressive textiles, featuring options from renowned manufacturers such as Gabriel, Maharam, Rohi, Dedar, Sahco, Sirtori, and Vescom. The upholstery follows the curves of the armchair seamlessly, enhancing its soft character and making the fabric a central element of the design.
Versatility and Adaptability
Thanks to its compact proportions, Amiona is well-suited for living rooms, bedrooms, conversation areas, lounges, hospitality settings, and contract environments. The armless version is ideal for maintaining a lighter visual profile, while the version with armrests—Amiona Armrests—takes on a more sculptural and enveloping presence. The combination of a low profile, comfort, and a small footprint makes Amiona an attractive solution even for spaces where a traditional lounge chair might otherwise be too bulky.
