Design

Decomposé Light is born from the progressive decomposition of a simple geometry. The cylindrical body opens downwards into a succession of inclined rings, arranged in a seemingly spontaneous balance. The structure maintains a clear continuity with the original volume, but acquires lightness and dynamism thanks to the cuts, empty spaces, and different inclinations of the elements. Observed from different perspectives, the lamp changes its profile and reveals new overlaps.

Light and Shadow

The light source is contained in the upper cylindrical part and projects light through the sequence of rings. As it passes, the beam strikes the metal surfaces, generating a complex interplay of reflections, chiaroscuro, and subtle shadows. The light emission is not limited to the fixture, but helps define the perception of the surrounding ceiling and walls. The effect changes depending on the distance from the surfaces, the chosen finish, and the ambient lighting conditions. Decomposé Light thus becomes a dynamic presence, capable of creating a more intimate atmosphere or a more striking graphic design.

Aluminum structure

The lamp is crafted from aluminum, a material that allows for thin, precise rings while maintaining stability and visual lightness. The metalwork enhances the sequence of elements and allows the composition to maintain its balance. The colored surface interacts with the light and introduces different reflections based on the selected hue. The Orange and Red variants transform the ceiling light into a bold chromatic accent, particularly suited to contemporary and eclectic interiors. The Gold finish amplifies the warm reflections of the light, while the Smoked finish offers a more subtle and material presence.

Light Sources

The lamp uses a replaceable Retrofit LED light source with an E27 socket and a maximum power of 8 W. The bulb is not included, allowing you to choose the color temperature and intensity best suited to your desired atmosphere. The technical configuration currently specified by Artemide has a luminous flux of 632 lumens, an efficacy of 78.97 lm/W, and a color rendering index of CRI 80. Photometric data may vary depending on the actual light source installed. The ability to replace the bulb yourself facilitates maintenance and allows you to upgrade the lighting performance over time without having to modify the structure of the ceiling light.
