The nh1217 table lamp by Artemide, designed by Neri&Hu, reinterprets the traditional oriental lantern through a contemporary, essential, and versatile language. A luminous sphere in white blown glass slides along a brushed brass frame, allowing the position of the diffuser to be adjusted and the way the lamp interacts with the space.
Delivery to your floor is an optional service. The price may vary depending on factors such as the size and weight of your order, the layout of the building, and the availability of elevators or freight lifts.

nh1217 is born from Neri&Hu's research into the interaction between experience, detail, material, form, and light. The project combines a few clearly recognizable elements: an opal glass sphere, a brass frame, and a rectangular metal base. The composition appears simple, but it is not static. The diffuser can move along the ring and assume different positions, altering the visual balance of the lamp and the direction of the light. The ring serves more than just a decorative function: it can be used as a support, a base, a handle, or a hook. This multiplicity of uses fosters a direct connection with the object and encourages the lamp to be configured according to the space and needs of the moment.
The glass sphere can slide along the brass frame and assume different angles. This freedom of movement allows the diffuser's position to be varied and create unique configurations. When the lamp is placed on its base, the ring creates a light, asymmetrical composition. Used as a hook, it allows the nh1217 to be hung from a suitable support, transforming it into a small suspended light fixture. The sphere's movement also alters the relationship between light, structure, and support surface, making the lamp an interactive rather than simply static object.
The diffuser is made of white blown glass, chosen to shield the light source and distribute the light softly and evenly. The brushed brass frame introduces a warm, textured finish, creating an elegant contrast with the opaline surface of the glass. This combination expresses the balance between artisanal tradition and innovation that characterizes the entire nh collection. The luminous transparency of the diffuser and the visual texture of the metal create a refined composition, suitable for both minimalist interiors and spaces characterized by natural materials and sophisticated finishes.
nh1217 uses a replaceable Retrofit LED source with an E14 socket and a maximum power of 5 W. The bulb is not included, allowing you to select the color temperature and intensity most appropriate for your environment. The reference configuration reported by Artemide indicates a luminous flux of 378 lumens and a color rendering index of CRI 80. Since this is a replaceable source, actual photometric values may vary depending on the bulb installed. The opal glass diffuser attenuates the direct perception of the source and generates a pleasant brightness, suitable for creating atmosphere on bedside tables, consoles, coffee tables, and relaxation areas.
