Design

The design is constructed from a few essential elements: a luminous opal glass sphere, a brushed brass ring, and a black metal structure. The combination creates a balanced yet non-static image, in which each component maintains a precise technical and aesthetic function. The sphere introduces a soft, luminous presence, while the brass ring creates a warm and elegant graphic design. The linear and curved structures allow for the connection of multiple diffusers, transforming the lamp into a true luminous landscape.

A reinterpretation of the oriental lantern

Like other elements in the nh family, the pendant lamp recalls the archetype of the oriental lantern without literally reproducing its forms. The spherical diffuser evokes a protected, suspended light source, while the brass ring evokes the act of carrying and hanging. Neri&Hu translate these references into a minimalist composition suited to contemporary interiors. Tradition thus becomes the starting point for a contemporary reflection on light, the mobility of elements, and the relationship between object and space.

Blown Glass and Brushed Brass

The diffuser is made of white blown glass, chosen to shield the light source and distribute the light softly and evenly. The brushed brass introduces a warm, textured finish, creating an elegant contrast with the opaline surface of the glass and the black structural elements. The juxtaposition of these materials expresses the encounter between artisanal tradition and contemporary innovation that characterizes Neri&Hu's work.

Diffused light and replaceable source

The opaline glass diffusers shield the bulbs and produce a soft, uniform, and comfortable light. The replaceable Retrofit LED light sources allow you to choose the color temperature and intensity best suited to your environment. This solution also facilitates maintenance and allows you to upgrade the lighting performance without replacing the entire fixture. Dimming is possible using dimmable bulbs compatible with the electrical system. The pendants are designed for indoor use and have an IP20 rating.
