Design

The nh wall lamp by Artemide, designed by Neri&Hu, reinterprets the traditional oriental lantern through a simple, lightweight, and interactive composition. The spherical white blown glass diffuser slides along a brushed brass ring, allowing the light's position and visual balance to be adjusted.

A reinterpretation of the oriental lantern

Like other elements in the nh family, the wall version recalls the archetype of the oriental lantern without literally reproducing its shape. The spherical diffuser evokes a suspended light source, while the brass ring recalls the act of hanging and carrying it. Neri&Hu transform these traditional references into a contemporary accessory, characterized by essential proportions and intuitive use.

Blown Glass and Brushed Brass

The diffuser is made of white blown glass, chosen to shield the light source and distribute the light softly and evenly. The brushed brass ring introduces a warm, textured finish, creating a refined contrast with the opaline glass surface and the black structure. The combination of materials expresses the fusion of artisanal tradition and contemporary innovation that underpins the project. The black and brass color scheme makes the lamp easily coordinated with natural woods, marble, burnished metals, and lacquered surfaces.

Diffused light and replaceable source

nh wall uses a replaceable Retrofit LED light source with an E14 socket and a maximum power of 5W. The bulb is not included, allowing you to choose the color temperature and lighting characteristics best suited to your environment. The reference photometric configuration specified by Artemide has a luminous flux of 378 lumens and a color rendering index of CRI 80. Since the light source is replaceable, actual values ​​may vary depending on the bulb installed. The opal glass diffuser reduces the direct perception of the source and generates a soft light, particularly suitable for creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.
