Design
Manhattan was born from a principle of extreme rationality. The lamp's shape is reduced to a long, thin rectangular body, in which the structure, light source, and diffuser all share the same geometry. Joan Gaspar eliminates all unnecessary ornamental elements and allows the proportions, materials, and quality of light to determine the object's identity. The result is a discreet yet instantly recognizable wall lamp, capable of integrating into the architecture without drawing attention to itself through decorations or complex shapes.
Structure and Diffuser
The structure is made of chrome-plated aluminum, a finish that emphasizes the geometric precision of the design and gives the lamp a technical, contemporary look. The light is shielded by a white, silk-screened polycarbonate diffuser. The material helps distribute the light across the entire surface of the wall light, reducing the perception of the LED source and creating a continuous band of light.
Uniform illumination
Manhattan is designed to provide diffused light through an extremely thin body. The linear arrangement of the light source and the polycarbonate diffuser allow the light to extend along the entire length of the lamp, preventing the light from being concentrated in a single point. This feature is particularly useful near mirrors, countertops, and vertical surfaces, where even light distribution is important. Manhattan uses a 15.6W LED source with a voltage of 220-240V.
