Details and Measures
Foscarini's purpose was to create a lamp which could reproduce washi's lightness, the paper used to create oriental lamps. Only thanks to the best skilled Murano's glassblowers' maestry and Foscarini's experience it has been possible realizing Rituals line, wall lamps with diffused light. The particular blown glass structure is enriched with a striped effect, made by mold with negative decorations that are repeated on the glass surface, then hand frosted and dipped in acid to get a chalky effect. That's how the lamp earns a fascinating and smooth decoration, that's able to produce an inimitable light and dark effect and a particularly smooth and soft light. The magic of Rituals lamps is to be able to transfer rise paper lamps' atmosphere and charm into blown glass smoothness. Version number 3 double has a double tiny and rounded shape, providing a more intense enlightement than the standard version. It is available with a double E27 lamp base for max 2x70W bulbs (not included).
