Minotti was founded in 1948 by Alberto Minotti. Originally an artisan workshop, the company embraced industrialization in the Sixties. After the founder's passing in the early Nineties, his sons Renato and Roberto Minotti took the helm, leading a process of growth and global expansion that never compromised the brand's signature quality and refinedness.
Now in its third generation with Alessio, Alessandro, Susanna, and Leonardo, Minotti continues to evolve through diverse, complementary skills that stregthen its reputation in Italian design.
The collaboration with Rodolfo Dordoni
In 1998, Renato and Roberto Minotti entrusted Art Direction and the coordination of all collections to Rodolfo Dordoni.This pivotal collaboration, grouned in shared vision and sensitivity, led to the creation of indoor, outdoor, and hospitality colelctions, as well as the design of Minotti stands at the Salone del Mobile Milano, Shangai, and Cologne fair, and the development of the New York flagship store and the company showroom in Meda.
Rodolfo Dordoni played a key role in shaping Minotti's aesthetic, initiating collaborations with designers such as Nendo, Hannes Peer, Christophe Delcourt, and GamFratesi. A milestone chapter that ended abruptly in 2023 with Dordoni's passing, yet it strenghtened the brand's identity and affirmed the uniqueness of Italian design.
