Design

Decomposé Light is born from the progressive deconstruction of a simple geometry. The cylindrical body opens into a sequence of inclined rings, arranged in a seemingly spontaneous balance. The different elements appear suspended in space and give the lamp a sense of movement, while maintaining a compact and clearly legible structure. The shape changes depending on the perspective, offering an ever-changing view of the composition.

Light and Shadow

The light sources are contained in the lower cylindrical part and project their light upward through the sequence of rings. Along the way, the beam encounters the metal surfaces and is fragmented into a succession of chiaroscuro effects, reflections, and subtle shadows. The effect extends into the surrounding space and varies depending on the lamp's position, distance from the walls, and ambient lighting. Decomposé Light therefore does not simply illuminate the surface below, but helps define the room's atmosphere through a complex light design.

Materials and Finishes

The lamp is crafted from aluminum, a material that allows for thin, precise rings that are rigid enough to maintain the characteristic deconstructed shape. Decomposé Light is available in orange, smoked, red, and gold finishes. The different colors alter the relationship between metal and light. The orange and red finishes introduce a bold chromatic accent, while gold and smoked allow for more elegant and textured compositions.

Light Sources and Performance

The pendant uses two replaceable Retrofit LED light sources with E27 sockets and a maximum power of 8W each. Bulbs are not included, allowing you to choose the color temperature best suited to your space. The configuration indicated by Artemide has a total power of 16 W, a luminous flux of 1662 lumens and a colour rendering index of CRI 90. The photometric values ​​may vary depending on the sources actually installed.
