Coque Mirror by Miniforms
The Coque mirror by Miniforms, designed by Alain Gilles, transforms a mirror into a decorative object with a strong material presence. The reflective surface is encased in a shell with soft, fluid forms, defined by a contrast between a glossy interior and a matte exterior—a design that creates a sophisticated interplay of light, texture, and depth.

Details and Measures
Design
Coque is distinguished by a dynamic design language rich in contrasts. The frame envelops the mirror like a shell, lending greater depth to the reflective surface and elevating a functional accessory into a sculptural piece. Alain Gilles’ design brings opposing surfaces into dialogue: the interior appears brilliant and luminous, while the exterior reveals a more tactile, material-focused texture. This contrast accentuates the mirror’s three-dimensionality and reinforces its decorative character.
Materials and Finishes
In the glazed ceramic version, the interior of the shell is glossy and radiant, while the exterior maintains a matte, material-rich appearance that highlights the natural qualities of the ceramic. Miniforms also offers the frame in a wide range of lacquered finishes, providing extensive options for color customization.
Versatility and Adaptability
Coque is available in two diameters, allowing for a choice between a more understated presence or a bolder, more dramatic statement. It is well-suited for a living room, entryway, dining area, or bedroom—whether as a standalone piece or as part of a larger decorative arrangement. With its deep, substantial frame, Coque functions less like a simple mirror and more like a work of art.
