Cesca Chair by Knoll

The Cesca chair by Knoll, designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928, is one of the most iconic chairs of the Modern Movement. Its cantilevered structure eliminates the rear legs and creates the impression that the seat and backrest are floating in space, combining the industrial precision of tubular steel with the natural character of wood and woven cane. Originally known as the B32, the chair was later renamed Cesca in homage to Marcel Breuer's daughter, Francesca. Nearly a century after its design, it remains surprisingly contemporary and continues to fit naturally into contemporary interiors.
