Butter Pouf

Design

The Butter Ottoman builds on Faye Toogood's research into everyday shapes, tactile materials, and a spontaneous and unconventional concept of comfort. The ottoman appears as a soft volume shaped through simple gestures. The padded base features a full, slightly rounded profile, while the top cushion seems to rest freely on the frame, creating a deliberately relaxed silhouette.

Soft, natural comfort

Butter doesn't define a single way of being used. The padded surface can accommodate a person, support legs in front of an armchair, or serve as an intermediate element between multiple seats. The broad shape, free of hard edges, fosters an immediate connection with the body. The top cushion introduces a visual and tactile softness that makes the pouf consistent with the empathetic approach developed for the entire collection. Used alongside the Butter armchair, it can expand the relaxation position; when included in the modular system, it contributes to creating freer and more convivial configurations.

Structure and Padding

The pouf's internal structure is made with a wooden frame, designed to support the padded volume and maintain its shape. The padding uses polyurethane foam with varying densities, a combination that provides support in the structural parts and greater softness in the surfaces in contact with the body. The seat cushion is finished with hypoallergenic fiber, which contributes to the pouf's soft and welcoming feel.

Versatility and Adaptability

In the living room, the Butter Ottoman can be placed in the center of the conversation area or in front of the Butter armchair, where it becomes a comfortable support for the legs. Combined with the modular sofa, it allows for an extended seating surface and the creation of more informal configurations. Used independently, it offers additional seating easily accessible from multiple sides.
