Savoy Armchair by Poliform
The Savoy armchair by Poliform, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, translates the elegant, contemporary language of the sofa system of the same name into an individual seat. The visible structure, inspired by modernism, welcomes soft and generous volumes, creating a refined balance between geometric rigor and comfort.

Details and Measures
Design
Savoy is defined by the contrast between the precision of its frame and the softness of its upholstery. The armchair possesses an architectural yet welcoming character, consistent with Jean-Marie Massaud’s exploration of the synthesis between formal essentiality and well-being. The armchair is available in the configuration with a backrest, an element that enhances the rear side of the seat and accentuates its presence in the space. Poliform offers this back panel in black elm or a glossy charcoal lacquer, transforming it into a distinct decorative element.
Comfort and Functionality
The seat and backrest are crafted from polyurethane foam of varying densities, with an inner cover made of cotton canvas and down. This combination of structural materials and plush padding creates an inviting seat, designed to provide support while maintaining the signature softness of the Savoy collection. The outer cover is removable and available in a choice of fabric or leather, allowing for a high degree of personalization.
Versatility and Adaptability
The Savoy armchair can function as a standalone piece or be paired with a sofa from the same collection to create a coordinated conversation area. The back panel also enhances its adaptability to different spatial layouts: the version with the rear element is particularly well-suited for placement in the center of a room, while the more minimalist version integrates easily into arrangements against a wall. Poliform offers both variations within the Savoy system.
