Design

Elas originated as a tribute to female-led design and the figures who shaped the international culture of design, architecture, and contemporary art during the first half of the 20th century.

In the Elas Wicker version, this sensibility is expressed through natural surfaces, enveloping forms, and a woven texture that visually lightens the shell. The wicker interacts with the solid wood frame and the marble armrest, creating a balanced composition of texture, color, and material.

The result is an armchair that is elegant yet informal, capable of establishing a warm, distinctive presence within a space.

Comfort and functionality

The shell’s enveloping geometry creates a natural relationship with the body, encouraging a relaxed posture. The wicker weave enhances the seat’s sense of lightness while maintaining the collection’s characteristic material appeal.

A marble insert is recessed into the right armrest. It is secured by a low-field magnet, allowing for easy removal when needed—a feature that combines aesthetic precision with practicality.

Materials and finishes

The solid wood load-bearing structure is available in three versions:

Open-pore lacquered ash in Licorice.
Light Brown stained Canaletto walnut with a matte polyester lacquer.
Malt-stained Canaletto walnut.

The shell is clad in woven wicker, protected by a clear finish and available in the following options:

Natural.
Ochre.
Dark Brown.

The woven rattan texture creates a surface that is rich both visually and to the touch, highlighting the interplay between craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Marble insert

The marble insert on the right armrest comes in specific combinations matched to the wooden structure:

Liquorice-stained Ash: Matte-honed Nero Saint Laurent marble.
Malt-stained Canaletto Walnut: Filled and honed Titanium Travertine.
Light Brown Canaletto Walnut: Matte-honed Emperador marble.

These combinations are designed to create chromatic and material continuity between the wood and stone, reinforcing the armchair’s sophisticated character.
