Details and Measures
Design
Mariolina emerged from an exploration of the potential of polypropylene, translated into a simple, fluid shell—the kind of form one might imagine drawing without ever lifting the pen from the paper. In the Office version, the chair’s lightweight character is further emphasized by a four-spoke base, which replaces traditional legs to introduce a more dynamic and functional aesthetic. The design thus retains the informal identity of the Mariolina family while adapting it to the professional world.
Comfort and Functionality
The swivel, wheeled base facilitates movement around the workstation, allowing the user to turn freely without needing to lift the chair. The gently enveloping shell supports the body while maintaining compact proportions; the seat can also be fitted with a fabric-upholstered cushion, enhancing comfort and offering an additional layer of personalization.
Versatility and Adaptability
Mariolina Office is designed for home offices, professional studios, meeting rooms, and contract environments—spaces where practicality and mobility must coexist with a refined aesthetic. The wide range of available shell colors allows for a look that is either understated or more informal and creative, making the chair equally well-suited for a home workspace or more complex professional projects.
