Design
Nocturne is the result of Konstantin Grcic's research into modularity, industrial precision, and freedom of use. The lamp is constructed from a few clearly recognizable components: a flat metal base, a vertical extruded aluminum track, and a conical glass light unit. The slender structure extends upwards like a minimalist architectural element. The absence of a traditional fixed shade lightens the composition and focuses attention on the relationship between the vertical track and the transparent diffuser.
Materials
Nocturne F2 Cone features a conical diffuser in extra-clear borosilicate glass. The transparency of the material allows the Light Engine to be visible, creating a direct connection between the technology and the casing. The glass does not hide the light source, but softens its presence through reflections, transparencies, and a delicate luminous halo. The lamp body is made of a black extruded aluminum rod, accentuating the graphic nature of the structure and creating a sharp contrast with the transparent glass.
Integrated Dimmer
The lamp is equipped with a dimmable push-button switch, allowing you to adjust the light intensity. The integrated dimmer allows you to calibrate the emission based on the activity and desired brightness. A higher level is suitable for reading and directional lighting, while a lower intensity enhances the perimeter halo and the transparency of the glass. The system uses a 48V electronic power supply with a remote driver included. The LED source can be replaced by qualified personnel, while the external power supply is specified by Flos as user-replaceable.The voltage is 220-240V.
