Mastea Coffee Table by Miniforms
The Mastea coffee table by Miniforms, designed by Matteo Zorzenoni, brings the tradition of blown glass into the living space, reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. Its transparent, tactile base supports a wooden top, creating a sophisticated contrast between the visual lightness of the glass and the natural warmth of the wood.

Design
Mastea stems from Miniforms’ long-standing expertise in Murano glass craftsmanship, which dates back to the 1970s. The project revives an ancient artisanal technique, applying it to an essential, contemporary form that transforms the table into a piece with a strong decorative presence. The glass base features a full, rounded volume, while the wooden top provides a precise definition to the upper section. The interplay between these two materials creates a balance between transparency and solidity, traditional craftsmanship and modern design.
Materials and Craftsmanship
The true protagonist of Mastea is the blown glass, still crafted today using techniques that require the direct intervention of a master glassblower. This artisanal element imbues each piece with a unique, expressive quality: the reflections, transparencies, and subtle variations in the glass add depth, causing the table’s appearance to shift depending on the surrounding light.
Versatility and Adaptability
Mastea is available in two different proportions—one taller and more compact, the other lower and wider. These versions can be used individually or combined to create a dynamic arrangement within a living area. The blend of blown glass and wood allows the table to fit seamlessly into both contemporary interiors and spaces defined by natural materials and more refined furnishings.
