The Night Clock is part of George Nelson’s renowned Desk Clocks collection, developed between 1947 and 1953. The design stems from the belief that the position of the hands is sufficient to tell the time, rendering numerals on the dial superfluous. Its compact, almost architectural form is defined by a circular dial supported by a metal base. The slightly domed acrylic glass enhances the clock’s depth and contributes to its retro character, while maintaining a strikingly contemporary feel.
