Sculptural Design
The curved profile defines a soft, enveloping presence, appealing from any vantage point. Rounded corners and beveled edges lighten the structure and highlight its meticulous craftsmanship. The open configuration transcends the traditional idea of a bookcase set against a wall: Crescent can become the fulcrum of the composition, discreetly articulated in space and maintaining a visual dialogue between different areas of the room.
Materials and Workmanship
The hollow structure is made of plywood and curved MDF, covered with lacquered oak veneer. This construction allows for continuous volumes, balanced proportions, and a textured surface with a refined appearance. The oak finish lends warmth to the piece and facilitates pairing with stone, metal, glass, natural fabrics, and other woods.
Bookcase and Room Divider
Placed in the center of a living room or large open space, Crescent allows you to subtly separate the conversation area, dining area, study, or entryway. The open back allows for natural light to pass through and leaves books and decorative objects visible on both sides. The tall version offers a more architectural presence and better defines functional areas without creating a rigid visual barrier.
