DU 30 chair is without doubt Gastone Rinaldi's most famous design. In fact, in 1954 it was the recipient of the Compasso d’Oro award, known as the Compasso d’Oro-Rinascente at the time, in what was the first year the prize was awarded.
The unitary nature of the seat and backrest results in a central cutting and stitching effect that brings to mind the contemporary works of Lucio Fontana.
