The Acerbis style: a blend of heritage and modernity

Acerbis’s research focuses on modernity as a vision of the future, through the involvement of contemporary designers as interpreters of today’s world and by exploring works from the past that successfully captured the spirit and design of their time. This research into the contemporary and heritage aims to create a unified language of uniqueness and modernity.

Under the creative direction of Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces, Acerbis brings to life the innovative vision that has always defined the family’s DNA, creating a collection of cutting-edge designs.

Refined design that enhances any space

The Acerbis chairs are among the finest modern dining chairs, distinguished by their style and the quality of their materials. The selection of such refined pieces reflects an uncommon taste and discerning eye, making them ideal for sophisticated dining rooms and living areas that feature a distinctive touch.

The Acerbis catalog includes archive designs such as the two chairs by Giotto Stoppino and a more recent design created by the creative directors, the Ebi chair, which emerged from a study of the curvature of wood and features an arched shape with a sled base.

The Med chair was designed by Giotto Stoppino and Lodovico Acerbis in 1983 and is built on the contrast between straight and curved lines. The upholstered backrest and seat rest on a distinctive frame, with legs reminiscent of Manhattan’s Flatiron Building, connected by crossbars. A sophisticated interplay of contrasts, crafted in stained ash or solid wood with a matte lacquer finish, available in various colors.

The Jot chair, designed by Giotto Stoppino in 1976, reinterprets the Bauhaus style through the combination of chrome-plated steel tubing in the cantilevered frame and natural leather on the seat. The curved metal gives the Acerbis chair flexibility and a sense of visual lightness, creating an ideal combination of form and function.
