Enzo Mari is considered on of the greatest Italian design theorists, a scholar who dedicated his career to the study of visual language and of the interactions between design and everyday life. Max Bill in 1959 explains his work in this way: "Enzo Mari thinks creatively and builds logically", underlining his great ability to combine style need with practical ones, interpreting for first in a social perspective the world of design and laying the foundation for what is now the industrial design.
