Kasane Outdoor Pouf by Gervasoni
The Kasane pouf by Gervasoni, designed by the Japanese studio Nendo, interprets outdoor furnishing through a compact, sculptural form defined by stacked volumes and a distinctive, tactile surface. A clay-based finish lends the pouf visual depth and a pleasant feel, transforming a functional piece into a decorative element with a strong identity.

Details and Measures
Design
"Kasane" literally means "layering" or "stacking," reflecting the design principle behind the entire collection. The design draws inspiration from stacked cups, translating this image into a rhythmic sequence of overlapping edges. The cylindrical profile takes on a soft, sinuous character with an almost sculptural presence, allowing the pouf to stand out even in the most minimalist outdoor settings.
Materials and finishes
Kasane is crafted from high-density thermoplastic polymer, reinforced with polymer resin. The surface is hand-finished with a blend of sand and pigmented natural clay, sealed with a matte polyurethane protective coating. This unique texture highlights the design's material quality and creates a surface that is pleasant to the touch, featuring subtle variations that enhance its natural look.
Versatility and Adaptability
Its compact size makes Kasane ideal as extra seating or an accent piece in outdoor lounge and conversation areas. It can be paired with tables from the same collection or used as a standalone element on terraces, porches, in gardens, and in contract spaces. Its earth-toned color palette makes it easy to coordinate with natural materials, outdoor fabrics, and contemporary furnishings.
