1809 Floor Lamp

Design

The 1809 project stems from the idea that the light source can transform into a true volume in space. The light is not hidden within an opaque structure, but passes through the transparent body of the lamp, making its entire height perceptible. The composition is constructed through two primary geometries: a vertical cylinder and a sphere. The first defines the structure and diffuses the light in the lower part; the second, made of opal glass, completes the profile and generates a softer emission in the upper area.

Materials

The main body of the lamp is made of PMMA, a transparent material that allows the internal light to become a visible part of the structure. Chromed metal details introduce small reflective dots that delimit the structure and enhance the relationship between the technical component and the luminous casing. The upper part is defined by an opal glass sphere, an element that softens the precision of the cylinder and introduces a uniformly diffused light. The opal glass shields the light source and reduces the direct perception of the bulb, distributing the brightness across the surface of the sphere. The result is a soft and enveloping emission, suitable for creating intimate atmospheres.

Independent Switching

1809 is equipped with a double switch, which allows the upper and lower parts to be turned on separately. This solution allows the lighting scene to be modified based on the moment and the needs of the space. You can use just the sphere for a more intimate light, activate the vertical body to enhance the transparency of the structure, or turn on both sections for a full lighting effect. The lamp is equipped with a Schuko plug.
