Designed in 1973 by De Pas, D'Urbino, and Lomazzi, Sciangai was born from a simple yet ingenious idea: to create a fully foldable coat stand, capable of adapting to space and the user's needs. When open, its arms expand like the sticks of the famous oriental game from which it takes its name.
Dynamic and functional design
The structure is composed of crossed rods that open and close, allowing the number of support points for coats, jackets, and accessories to be adjusted. This solution makes the coat stand extremely versatile and capable of adapting to a variety of domestic contexts. Sciangai is crafted with an amaranth-stained ash frame, an elegant finish that enhances the natural beauty of the wood and gives the product a warm and sophisticated feel.
