Worldwide shipping
Standard shipping is free on orders from 250€ (Italy only) and applies to ground-level delivery. Worldwide shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

The idea of Metafora originates during the highly creative period of the early 80s, when Gae Aulenti assumes the role of artistic director at FontanaArte and decides to renew the focus on the use of glass within the company. At the invitation of Gae Aulenti, Umberto Riva conceives a table lamp of great value, composed of a conical diffuser made with layers of opal glass, supported by a transparent base that hides a metal structure, all assembled with skill. This object is characterized by its strong decorative component, made using traditional techniques such as glass blowing, typical of artisan skills, and now reintroduced to an audience attentive to the originality of the design and its timeless expressions.
