Details and Measures
Kurage, jellyfish in japanese, it's the name chosen by Luca Nichetto and Nendo group for this table lamp, realized for Foscarini. Made of fine japanese Washi paper, made from mulberry wood fibers, with natural coloured ash legs, Kurage aims to embody a new spirit, light, poetic, handcrafted. The structure which the diffuser stands on is transparent, in order not to create shadows which may interfere with the relaxed, calm and emotional atmosphere the lamp creates, able to seduce mind and heart. This special effect is because of the Washi paper, characterized by extraordinary porosity and texture, obtained thaks to the very special three-dimensional processing technique. The work is completed by a white ceramic lampholder and an electrical cable covered with a stocking in paper fiber.
