Design

Decomposé Light is born from the deconstruction of a basic geometric profile. The cylindrical body gradually opens into a sequence of inclined rings, seemingly suspended in a light and irregular balance. The shape retains the simplicity of the original volume, but acquires movement thanks to the cuts and different inclinations of the elements. The result is a sculptural lamp that changes appearance depending on the perspective, offering an ever-changing interpretation of its structure.

Light and Shadow

The light source is placed inside the cylindrical base and projects its beam upward. As it passes, the light encounters the metal rings and generates a succession of reflections, chiaroscuro effects, and subtle shadows. The emission therefore not only illuminates the room, but also shapes the surrounding space. The cast shadows alter the perception of the lamp and nearby surfaces, creating a more intense or subtle effect depending on the position and lighting in the room. Decomposé Light is particularly suitable for creating an atmospheric light source, capable of enhancing a wall, a corner of the living room, or a furnishing composition.

Materials and Finishes

The lamp is crafted from aluminum, a material that allows for thin, precise rings that are rigid enough to retain the characteristic deconstructed shape. Decomposé Light is available in the finishes: vibrant and contemporary orange; understated and sophisticated smoked glass; warm and luminous gold; and intense and decorative red. The different colors alter the relationship between structure and light. The bolder shades transform the lamp into a chromatic accent, while smoked glass and gold allow it to be inserted into more elegant and textured compositions.

Light Source

The lamp uses a replaceable Retrofit LED source with an E27 socket and a maximum power of 8W. The bulb is not included, allowing you to choose the color temperature and intensity best suited to your desired atmosphere. The Artemide technical data sheet indicates a luminous flux of 632 lumens and a color rendering index of CRI 80 for current configurations. The replaceable light source makes the lamp adaptable over time and allows for easy upgrades of the lighting system without modifying the structure.
