Corsetto Armchair

A balance between containment and comfort

Corsetto is the result of Cristián Mohaded's research into the relationships between form, material, and perception. The design develops a harmonious tension between the solidity of the base and the softness of the padded upper volume, resulting in an armchair that simultaneously conveys protection, stability, and visual lightness.

Ergonomic and enveloping shapes

The upper structure is modeled according to ergonomic principles, with curved lines that naturally follow the body. The seat and backrest merge into a continuous, enveloping surface, designed to ensure a high level of comfort while maintaining an elegant and well-defined silhouette.

Materials at the forefront of the project

One of Corsetto's distinctive features is the active role materials play in defining its aesthetic. Leather and fabric are not simply upholstery, but design elements that contribute to the armchair's identity. The ability to combine different materials and shades allows for more sober or more expressive configurations, adapting the seat's character to different residential and contract contexts.
