Bocci

Bocci is a lighting brand founded in 2005 under the creative direction of Omer Arbel, in collaboration with entrepreneur Randy Bishop. From the beginning, the company has been distinguished by its commitment to fostering an environment where creativity, craftsmanship and experimentation can thrive. The first Bocci lamp, the Model 14, was created in a converted barn in British Columbia, giving rise to a company that continues to grow today, exploring new horizons in the design and production of sculptural lighting. More than a design studio, Bocci is a research laboratory and a factory based in Vancouver, Canada, and stands out for its ability to uncover the hidden potentials in materials such as glass, metal, concrete, fire and electricity, making experimentation and research at the core of its creative process. The goal is to push the boundaries of design, embracing unpredictability as a fundamental resource and making the beauty of the unexpected a distinctive element of its work. Every Bocci product is handcrafted and therefore unique. The designs do not follow a rigid set of rules, but a set of guidelines that reflect Omer Arbel's philosophy. Each member of the Bocci team infuses their own style into each piece they create, making each object an original work.
