Details and Measures
Aiming to create three-dimensionally moulded plywood seat shells that conformed to the contours of the human body, the designers Charles & Ray Eames developed the Plywood Group chairs. Thanks to their organic shape and the slightly flexible backrests, the chairs are extremely comfortable also in the version without upholstery. The DCW chair is characterized by a moulded plywood with face veneer in ash or walnut.
