Curiosity Table Lamp

Design

Curiosity was conceived as a minimalist luminous frame. The thin structure extends vertically from the base and supports a small projector positioned at the top, facing the surface. The open, minimalist design leaves the central space free, allowing the lamp to accommodate and enhance whatever is placed on the base. The illuminated object thus becomes an integral part of the composition and can be freely replaced to transform the lamp's appearance at any time. Curiosity is therefore not just a light source, but a tool for creating small, personal settings and connecting light, objects, and people.

A frame for displaying objects

The lamp's base serves as a display surface on which to place a chosen object: a small sculpture, a travel memento, a natural element, or a decorative accessory. The spotlight at the top illuminates the contents from above, drawing attention to the interior of the structure. The lamp thus creates a sort of open display case, showcasing the object without being separated from its surroundings. Curiosity is available with two different beam angles. The Focus version focuses a precise light onto the base, highlighting the displayed object and creating a more pronounced contrast between light and shadow. The Ambience version, on the other hand, features a more open beam, designed to produce soft, diffused lighting. This configuration is particularly suitable when Curiosity is used as an ambient light on a table, a console table, or in a convivial space.

Portable and rechargeable

The integrated battery allows Curiosity to be used without a permanent electrical connection. The lamp can be easily moved and placed even in areas without a nearby outlet. The light intensity can be adjusted via a button to three levels. Depending on the selected configuration, battery life can vary approximately from 8 to 26 hours, while a full charge takes approximately three hours. This freedom of use makes Curiosity particularly versatile both in domestic interiors and professional settings, where space layouts can change frequently.

Materials and Structure

Curiosity combines a thin metal frame with a base and projector designed to integrate the light source, battery, and control system. A brass frame and aluminum and technopolymer components create a visually light lamp, allowing the object on display and the light to remain the focus of the composition. Curiosity can be placed on a sideboard, bookcase, or side table, becoming a small, customizable light installation, illuminating a decorative element or creating an intimate light during a dinner party. In the bedroom, it can be used on a bedside table or dresser, while in an entryway, it can highlight a significant object.
