A distinctive feature of Blaine is its cast-aluminum base, modeled like a gently curved trestle. Its convex shape introduces movement into the composition, transforming the support into an integral part of the table’s identity. The base is available in polished aluminum or with a glossy lacquered finish in Brandy Light, Moss, and Birch tones; specific combinations are determined by the choice of tabletop finish.
Visual Comfort and Functionality
The tabletop extends this exploration of materials through a variety of finishes. Wood versions include Light Brown-stained Canaletto walnut and Dark Brown reconstituted rosewood, available in either glossy or matte polyester finishes. The shaped marble tops—20 mm thick—are supported by a matte black lacquered MDF and aluminum structure, whereas the wooden versions utilize 50 mm thick veneered elements. Depending on the material and size, some configurations also feature an open-book (butterfly) grain pattern.
A balance of material and form
The two bases follow a convex curve that varies according to the table’s geometry and proportions. This construction reinforces the sense of structural balance, while the curved surfaces prevent the piece from appearing static or overly monumental. Blaine thus takes on the character of a small-scale domestic architectural element: the base does not merely support the top but establishes a direct relationship with the surrounding space.

Thanks to the wide range of combinations involving metal, wood, and marble, Blaine lends itself to diverse interpretations.
