Savoy Sofa by Poliform
The Savoy sofa by Poliform, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, combines geometric purity with softness in a seating system with a contemporary character. Its exposed frame, inspired by the language of modernism, supports generous cushions and comfortable volumes, striking a refined balance between architectural rigor and a welcoming feel. The available configurations include an optional back panel, a feature that enhances the sofa’s rear profile and strengthens its presence, even when placed freely in the center of a room.

Details and Measures
Design
Savoy emerges from the interplay between a clearly defined structure and the softness of its padding. Jean-Marie Massaud’s design highlights the sofa’s construction, turning the frame itself into an aesthetic element that evokes the essentialist principles of modernism. The back panel completes the design with a sophisticated, tactile surface, available in wood veneer or a glossy lacquer finish. This detail makes Savoy particularly compelling for "center-room" arrangements, where the back of the sofa becomes an integral part of the overall composition.
Comfort and Functionality
The seat and backrest are crafted from polyurethane foam with varying densities, allowing for calibrated support across different parts of the body. An inner cover made of cotton canvas and down feathers adds to the softness and inviting nature of the piece. Large, plush cushions further enhance the sense of comfort, while the final upholstery—available in fabric or leather—is completely removable.
Versatility and Adaptability
The modular nature of Savoy allows for a wide range of compositions, from linear arrangements to complex configurations featuring end units, central modules, corner elements, and chaise longues. Furthermore, the option to include or omit the back panel makes it easy to tailor the system to any specific space. In the configuration that includes a back-of-sofa unit, Savoy takes on a particularly complete and architectural presence, making it ideal for spacious living areas and arrangements positioned in the center of a room.
