The Nocturne wall lamp by Flos, designed by Konstantin Grcic, combines the technical precision of extruded aluminum with the lightness of blown borosilicate glass. The horizontal profile supports a transparent diffuser that, activated from within by a dual LED source, simultaneously produces functional lighting and a delicate ambient glow.

Design
Nocturne is the result of Konstantin Grcic's research into the relationship between technology, material, and the quality of light. The composition is reduced to a few clearly recognizable elements: a rectangular wall plate, a horizontal aluminum arm, and a transparent glass diffuser. The geometry of the structure remains essential and architectural, while the glass introduces reflections, transparencies, and light variations. When the lamp is off, the diffuser maintains a discreet presence; when turned on, the perimeter light ring highlights its shape and gives it an almost ethereal appearance.
Industrial aluminum and blown glass
The base and arm are made of extruded aluminum, a material that ensures geometric precision and integrates the lamp's technical components. The diffuser is made of extra-clear borosilicate glass. The transparency of the material allows the light module to be seen and the perimeter light to visually activate the entire volume.
Warm Light
Nocturne Wall is dimmable using a compatible remote control, not included with the lamp. This adjustment allows the light intensity to be adapted to different times of the day. A higher output enhances the functional component of the COB LED, while a lower brightness makes the perimeter halo on the glass more visible.
