Design

The nh collection is born from Neri&Hu's research into the dynamic interaction between experience, detail, material, form, and light. In the ceiling version, a few essential elements create an immediately recognizable composition: a luminous white glass sphere, a brushed brass ring, and a black circular base. The diffuser appears to float beneath the ceiling with natural lightness, while the contrast between the spherical shape and the graphic design of the ring creates a delicate and non-static visual balance. The compact structure allows the lamp to interact directly with the architecture, preserving the poetic and material character of the entire nh family.

A reinterpretation of the oriental lantern

nh reimagines the archetype of the oriental lantern without literally reproducing its forms. The luminous sphere evokes a protected, suspended light source, while the brass ring evokes the act of hanging and carrying. Neri&Hu transform these traditional references into a contemporary accessory, characterized by essential proportions and refined materials. The memory of tradition is thus interpreted through a contemporary design sensibility, in which formal simplicity is combined with particular attention to detail and the quality of light.

Blown Glass and Brushed Brass

The diffuser is made of white blown glass, chosen to shield the light source and distribute its emission softly and evenly. The brushed brass ring introduces a warm, textured tone, creating an elegant contrast with the opal glass and black base. The combination of these materials represents the synthesis between artisanal tradition and contemporary innovation that characterizes the project. The black and brass color scheme allows the ceiling light to blend seamlessly with natural woods, marble, stone, lacquered surfaces, and burnished metals.

Diffused light and replaceable source

The spherical diffuser attenuates the direct perception of the bulb and generates diffused light, suitable for general lighting and creating welcoming atmospheres. The white glass surface distributes light in all directions, making nh suitable for entryways, hallways, bedrooms, living rooms, and passageways. The replaceable Retrofit LED source allows you to choose the color temperature and intensity to suit the environment. The photometric values ​​declared by Artemide refer to test configurations and may vary depending on the bulb actually installed.
