The Edra chairs are the result of collaborations with designers capable of reinterpreting the function of seating to the point of transforming it into a work of art, designed to stand the test of time both aesthetically and structurally.

Chairs that tell the story of Edra's design research

We’ve selected some of the brand’s most iconic chairs, each the result of artisanal craftsmanship that makes every piece unique. The Gina chair, designed by Jacopo Foggini, features a seat and backrest crafted from a single, hand-woven polycarbonate weave that creates plays of light and transparency. The same handcrafted technique is used for the Gilda B. chair, made from a single polycarbonate shell and characterized by subtle shades and translucency, dedicated to journalist and editor-in-chief of Interni magazine, Gilda Bojardi.

The Ella chair, one of the most recognizable designs in Edra’s chair collection, is a small armchair with armrests made entirely by hand from polycarbonate. Its stem-like base and seat, resembling transparent, gradient-colored petals, give it the appearance of a flower. For those seeking enveloping comfort, the Blue Velvet chair, designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana, features an ultra-soft, padded seat on an ebony-stained wooden frame. The use of velvet as an aesthetic and comfort element also reappears in the flower-shaped Soshun stool, upholstered in velvet and featuring a slanted stem base.

The selection is rounded out by the A'Mare chair, suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces, which was born from the idea of solidifying water and transforming it into a precious object. The chair, like the entire collection, is handcrafted from polycarbonate slats with an irregular, transparent surface to recreate the reflections of the sea.
